This is a planning sequence, not a pre-priced itinerary. Use confirmed travel details and the terms of each separate booking to build your own route.
1. Put the immovable times on the page
Start with flights, ferries and any ship all-aboard time. Add the accommodation check-in instructions and the activity you most want. An activity’s advertised duration is not the complete door-to-door journey.
- Record the local date and time shown on each confirmation.
- Distinguish a departure time from an earlier check-in or boarding time.
- Avoid relying on a cruise-to-flight or cruise-to-ferry connection that has little room for disruption.
2. Check both ends of every transfer
Use the exact address or meeting pin, not just the town or island name. Include the final walk or connection, luggage handling and any requirement to be early. If pickup is offered, verify the selected option covers your actual location.
3. Choose a stay for the trip you are taking
A short city stay, a semester in Athens and a villa stay in Mykonos have different requirements. Check the accommodation’s own location, availability, accessibility and booking terms. Experience tickets do not include a stay unless the exact offer explicitly says so.
4. Compare the total day, not just a headline
Check meals, drinks, transfers, admissions, walking, time ashore and the end point. A lower headline price may exclude things you need, while a longer trip may leave less room for the rest of your day. Current price and availability belong on the selected booking page; none is guaranteed by this guide.
- Get specific access and dietary questions answered before paying.
- Read the cancellation terms for each booking separately.
- Keep the selected package and its inclusions with your confirmation.
An Athens sea day: island time or theatre history?
Two full-day choices illustrate why the itinerary and package matter. BestCruise centres on independent time in Agistri and Aegina, a swimming stop, Greek lunch and drinks. The Epidaurus cruise, offered through the CruiseInGreece collaboration, adds a different history-focused choice: independent harbour time or a specifically selected theatre excursion. Give either approximately ten hours plus your marina journey, rather than placing it between tight travel connections.
- BestCruise: check whether your selected option includes Athens transfers. Island guiding and monument admission are separate from the cruise inclusions.
- Epidaurus: the currently published season is April–October 2027. Cruise-only excludes lunch, guiding and transfers; other options add transfers or a Small Theatre/seaside-lunch or Ancient Theatre/onboard-lunch excursion. Ancient Theatre archaeological-site and museum admission is extra.
- Check live availability and the exact package before fixing the rest of the route. Weather can change swimming and island stops; the Epidaurus August island stop needs confirmation.
5. Make a simple plan for change
Keep provider contact details and the instructions from each confirmation. Check venue notices, transport updates and operator messages close to travel. Leave room to move an outdoor plan or choose an indoor alternative without losing another reservation.
Planning suggestions are editorial guidance, not guaranteed schedules, connected packages or transport reservations. Check official and provider information close to travel.
